Camping September 26-28

Postby Dennis Udink on Tue Sep 23, 2008 8:48 pm

My family and I are going camping this weekend near Cedar Mountain, about 6.5 miles southeast of Cleveland. If anyone wants to join us for some camping, ATV riding, or just some company around the campfire in the evening, you're more than welcome to do so. We'll be there from Friday afternoon/evening until Sunday afternoon. The coordinates to the campsite are N 39° 17.241' W 110° 45.680', and here's a Google Maps link. If somebody is already camped at that spot, we'll just go another mile farther down the main Cedar Mountain road and find another spot. Here's what my camping setup looks like, and there'll be a couple of ATVs and another truck and camp trailer there too.

That sounds like it would be fun to ride atv's around and sit by the campfire on Cedar Mtn. But I am camping up by Mammoth Reservoir because of the muzzleloader deer hunt. The hunt started Wednesday and ends on the 2nd. So far all I have seen was 1 spike :banghead:
Have fun!!!

I wish I would've looked earlier. I ended up camping in Scofield last weekend. Oh well I never seem to meet up with you but that's ok. Well hook up one of these days. Maybe next summer when I have more senority at my job. The weekend after next I will have Saturday and Sunday off. If it isn't snowing maybe we can go camping or just ride Atv's.Let me know thanks... :)

Did you have any luck up there? I saw a couple of hunters in the Swell over the weekend, but it didn't look like any of them got deer.

That would be cool. My wife will be out of town that weekend, but I'll be around here with the kids, so we could definitely get together for something. I really need to get my outdoors fix before winter sets in.

No, I haven't had any luck. Last night I seen a two point. I like to say that I am waiting for the big one but I would have shot the spike or two point but I wasn't quick enough.
I just got back tonight after seeing a cow and calf moose up in Old Folks Flat campground and I had left my camera at home. That was the first time I had ever seen a moose.

Looks like it is snowing this weekend. I guess I will get together another time. I got a new 4wheeler a couple of months ago and I go riding pretty constantly down by Kenilworth. I see your camping in a couple of weeks will try maybe to get together but as always I am working. The wedge is cool I'll talk with my wife see what she thinks.
