Meet Betty, one of our newest residents at Victorian House. Betty has three sons, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She hails from Indiana, where she grew up and made her grand entrance on April 23, 1924. Since then, she has lived all over the country, moving from Indiana to Southern California to Illinois, then back to Indiana for a time before heading to Northern California and finally to our beloved Colorado. She enjoys music, antiques, history, and anything Lincoln and the Civil War; fun fact about Betty – she’s an eighth cousin to the former President!
One of her favorite memories is traveling by herself via train after high school. As a graduation present, she visited relatives in the San Francisco Bay area, then explored Vancouver and Banff before returning home to Indiana. Now that she’s here at Victorian House, we couldn’t imagine her anywhere else! Betty’s happy to be here, too: “I’m enjoying all my new friends,” she said. Betty is such a delight and we’re thrilled to count her as part of the Castle Country family.
