Victorian House expansionCastle Country Assisted Living, a nonprofit organization serving seniors in Douglas County, has completed an expansion project at its Victorian House senior living community, 19600 Victorian Drive. CCAL will host a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Tuesday, March 25, from 4-6 p.m.

The 3,000-foot expansion and renovation are intended to enhance the quality of life for residents. The added space will provide more opportunities to engage in activities and gather with friends and loved ones.

The two-story addition to Victorian House includes a private dining room, lounge, movie theater, sewing room, craft room, computer lab and exercise studio. The building has also been updated with new carpet, furniture, artwork, and paint. Outside, the construction crew built a wraparound porch and landscapers added a new flower garden and serenity garden.

The addition has been well-received by the community’s residents. “The most exciting part of the finished expansion is to see how much our residents love their new space. Nothing warms my heart more than to see them exercising in the new fitness studio, doing fun projects in their new craft room, and relaxing on the new couches to watch a John Wayne movie,” a community representative said.

The project was completed by Woodley Architectural Group of Littleton and Malibu Homes Colorado of Centennial.
